GET £7,500 GOVERNMENT GRANT WHEN YOU BUY AN AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP!*

QUICK, EASY, DONE IN 2 MINUTES!

Upgrade to a Greener Home with a £7,500 Government Grant At North East Insulation Services (NEIS), we are helping homeowners across the UK transition to low-carbon heating. Through the government-backed Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), you can claim a £7,500 voucher toward the supply and installation of a high-efficiency Air Source Heat Pump.

Your Guide to Air Source Heat Pump Grants

Is your old gas or oil boiler costing you a fortune? Traditional fossil fuel boilers are becoming a thing of the past as the UK moves toward Net Zero. The solution is here: Air Source Heat Pumps.

Unlike a boiler that burns fuel, a heat pump extracts natural heat from the outside air to warm your home and water. It’s cleaner, more efficient, and thanks to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, more affordable than ever.

How the £7,500 Grant Works: The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides an upfront capital grant to help property owners in England and Wales replace fossil fuel systems.

  • £7,500 off the cost and installation of an Air Source Heat Pump.

  • No repayment required—it is a non-repayable voucher.

  • Installer-led—NEIS handles the application and deducts the grant directly from your quote.

Do You Qualify for the £7,500 BUS Grant?

The eligibility for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme is broader than ECO4, making it accessible to many more households. You may qualify if:

  • You own your property: This includes your own home, a second home, or a property you rent out (social housing is excluded).

  • You are replacing a fossil fuel system: You must be replacing an existing gas, oil, or electric heating system.

  • You have a valid EPC: Your property needs an Energy Performance Certificate issued within the last 10 years (we can help with this!).

  • No insulation requirements: As of May 2024, there are no longer mandatory loft or cavity wall insulation requirements to access the grant.
