Helping you secure free home improvements

The rising cost of energy is no one’s favourite topic. But what if we told you there’s a way to slash your energy bills and make your home more comfortable, completely free of charge? The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme is a government-led initiative designed to improve the energy efficiency of UK homes. As part of the scheme, energy suppliers are required to fund home improvements for low-income households and the country’s most vulnerable individuals. This means you could be entitled to a central heating upgrade, cavity wall insulation, solar panel installation, and more without the financial burden!

The ECO4 experts here at NEIS take care of it all, from checking your eligibility to helping you apply for the scheme and carrying out all home improvements after you’ve been approved. All it takes is a couple of seconds to fill out our form, and you could be on your way to a warmer, more energy-efficient home without breaking the bank!

Helping you understand the eligibility criteria

Applying for a government scheme can feel daunting. But we’re here to relay your fears and ease some of the pressure. So, what do you need to know? Let’s talk eligibility criteria:

  • Homeowners: ECO4 is aimed at homeowners. So, if you’re renting your property, make sure you have your landlord’s permission to apply.

  • Benefits: You must be receiving a qualifying benefit, such as Universal Credit, Income Support, or JSA. For the full list of benefits, visit GOV.UK.

  • Energy Performance Certificate (EPC): ECO4 prioritises households living in fuel poverty with an ECP rating of D, E, F or G.

If you don't meet the above, you may still secure funding with flexible eligibility
