Lower carbon emissions, lower costs
Air source heat pumps can be a great way to save money on your heating bills, particularly if you’re replacing an old, inefficient boiler or electric storage heaters. They are also kinder to the environment by using less carbon and can last for up to 20 years. Many homes are eligible for funding for a new air source heat pump and North East Insulation Services is happy to help you find out what help is available for you.
How do air source heat pumps work?
Air source heat pumps work by taking heat from the air outside and passing it through an exchanger. This is then used to heat up water that is used for washing and heating your home. Hot water can be stored in a cylinder for use later in the day. These pumps work with both radiators and underfloor heating.
The air source heat pump itself sits outside your home on the wall or on the ground. Most types of home can have an air source heat pump fitted with no issues but we’re happy to offer a survey first to help you decide if this type of heating system would work for you.
